As a part of your child’s education at The Grange School we promote personal wellbeing and development through a comprehensive PSHCE programme. This subject area gives young people the knowledge, understanding, attitudes and practical skills to live safe, healthy, productive lives and meet their full potential.

The Department for Education has announced changes to relationships and sex education (RSE), which is part of our program of study. These changes will come into effect from April 2021 and all schools will be required to comply with the updated requirements.

This means that we have reviewed our RSE curriculum and policy so we can be sure our provision is appropriate for our students based on their age, physical and emotional maturity, religious and cultural background as well as special educational needs and disabilities

PSHCE is taught throughout the school in every year group and is monitored and reviewed regularly by the staff and governing body. All teaching takes place in a safe learning environment and is underpinned by our school ethos and values.

As a school community, we are committed to working in partnership with parents/carers and all stakeholders within it, and as such we need your feedback to help us do this.

We would now like to invite you to view our DRAFT Relationships and Sex Education Policy and if you so chose to, complete a questionnaire in order to capture your feedback.

The questionnaire needs to be completed by Friday 23 April 2021. Please click the link to access the form.
