DEAR Time (Drop Everything And Read) gives students the opportunity to read every single day. It is time set aside during the school day dedicated to reading.
Students respond to this really well and it ensures that each week all students will have read for at least 50 minutes. This will ultimately have a massive impact on their learning in all subjects across the curriculum. Parents can help support this initiative by encouraging students to have a book with them every day and by reading with them at home.
