On the evening, there will be a presentation of what you can expect if you join us and the chance to speak to the teachers of the subjects we will offer as well as our current students. You will find on this page of our website a copy of our 2023 Prospectus which gives a flavour of what to expect. The new 2024 Prospectus is coming soon! If you have any questions, please feel free to email our Assistant Headteacher, Mr Sabin, [email protected].

Thank you for your interest in our Sixth Form. Rated ‘Good’ by OFSTED in 2021, we are an inclusive, diverse Sixth Form of around 150 students. A large proportion of our cohort is comprised of Grange students who choose to stay with us for the next stage of their education, but we also welcome applications from students from other schools.

We offer a wide variety of Level 3 courses, both A Level and BTEC, including vocational courses. Many of our students choose to study a combination of BTEC and A Level – we are proud to offer a flexible study programme.

We provide excellent pastoral support for our students, including mentoring, a tutorial programme to support future aspirations, visits and inviting in guest speakers. We support UCAS applications and have an excellent track record of students gaining places in their first choice university.

Students are trusted to work independently in our Library, Canteen or our newly refurbished Study Centre. When not studying or in lessons, students have the opportunity to contribute to the wider life of the school, through community service in class, in the Library supporting younger students, or through our peer mentor programme, in conjunction with Bucks Mind. We are also excited to be launching the Young Enterprise scheme this year.

We set high standards for our students, who are monitored and supported throughout their time with us in order to help them to realise their potential. We are proud of their achievements.

My choice to continue at The Grange for my A-levels was influenced by a range of factors, including my confidence in the passion my teachers- both new and old – have for their subjects, and the comfort in the familiarity of the school. Studying three new subjects of Film Studies, Psychology and Sociology initially left me unsure of what the courses would demand, however the transition was smooth and settling into this new chapter was trouble-free. Finding your feet at the start of Sixth Form can be difficult but the support systems provided to students, to assist both in our studies as well as personal and mental wellbeing support has helped me prepare myself for my next steps to move on. I am hoping to progress to higher education where I am aim to study Psychology and Counselling at University. I feel as though The Grange has been a fantastic place for me to develop as a young person as well as figure out what I wish to accomplish in the future.
