Full time students over the age of 16 may be eligible to apply for a discretionary Sixth Form bursary from the limited Bursary Fund to be spent on items such as essential course equipment, course related trips, travel to open days, uniforms or other school resources.
There are two types of bursary available – a Vulnerable Bursary for those in care or receiving Personal Independence Payments and a Discretionary Bursary for those whose annual household income is below £16,190. Application forms are made available in September/ October each year and communicated to all Sixth Form students.
The completed forms, together with proof of household income/payments are then reviewed by the Bursary Fund Committee. On successful completion, payments are then made to the student on a termly basis up to the total amount. Please be aware that applications must be submitted fully by the deadline provided in order to be considered.
