At the Grange School we believe in developing the whole child and ensuring that they are as well prepared as possible for the next stages in their lives. We have five main strategic intents (WE CAN), with the N standing for New Horizons, which outlines how we aim to do this.
All of our students have an Enterprise/Enrichment lesson every two weeks throughout Key Stage 3, and these lessons are mapped against a range of Personal Development, Character and Gatsby Benchmarks.
Curriculum IntentÂ
The curriculum at Key Stage 3 is designed in order to develop a range of transferrable enterprise and employability skills, as well as providing students with the opportunities to learn about a variety of careers pathways. The aim is to embed within them resilience, aspiration and an understanding of possible next steps related to their own attributes and potential.
Students take their first steps on their Careers Journey and continue to investigate this throughout their Key Stage 4 and Key Stage 5 experiences so that when they leave us they can make the best and most informed choices for them.
