Yesterday, (Thursday 11 June) our Year 10 Religious Studies students who are currently learning about the worldview pathway for Buddhism visited Amaravati Buddhist Temple in Hemel Hempstead to deepen and enrich their learning.

Led by Ms Seneviratne, Subject Leader for RS, students toured the temple, observed monks chanting, and learned about the Buddhist practice of dāna – generosity and giving. They also took part in a thoughtful Q&A session, showing curiosity, respect and excellent engagement throughout.

A huge thank you to Mrs Seneviratne for organising and leading such a meaningful visit. Educational experiences like this are incredibly valuable. They take learning beyond the classroom, bring complex ideas to life, and help students connect with worldviews in a real and memorable way.

It was a calm, reflective and inspiring day that all students thoroughly enjoyed.
