In recognition of World Mental Health Day 2023 which falls on Tuesday 10 October 2023 students will have an assembly based around the themes of mental health.

Year 7,8,9 will introduce our Peer Mentors – a group of trained sixth form students that offer support to those year groups at lunchtimes at Stapleton House. They also support students at morning registration as mentors.

We will also have assemblies for Year 10 and 11 led by our local Mental Health Support Team on resilience and their mental health.

The week will finish on Friday 13 October with a mental health coffee morning for parents at 9.15am where the local school nursing team with their campaign Health for Teens alongside our mental health practitioners will be available to parents to chat about what we are doing as a school and also what support is there for your child over a drink. You will also have the opportunity to support the Macmillan Cancer Coffee morning as we will also be doing a cake sale for this amazing charity for staff, students and Parents and Carers attending the coffee morning.

We would love parents to pop in and say hi to our supporting teams, ask questions to them and see what else we do in school for our students and their mental health.
