What a day we had yesterday! The infectious vibes radiated for World Book Day (UK & Ireland) as we celebrated the importance of reading as a school community. The students were fabulous, the staff were fabulous – especially those who embraced the day wholeheartedly in their literary themed costumes!
Thanks to the English Department for organising an action packed day and a special shout out to the hard-work of our Library team who hosted some super fun themed activities. The students particularly loved Scrabble!
The students have voted and the best staff costumes of the day have been chosen:
In first place—capturing the hearts of many and securing the majority of votes is Subject Leader for English Mrs Zehra aka Maleficent!
Following behind her is our second runner up ‘Obi-Wan Kenobi’ Mr Romano.
We also recognised students for their efforts and have chosen two winners who completed their ‘Guess the Literary Character’ forms accurately. Prizes will go to Kate E in 10I and Abigail B in 8V.
We have joint winners for the libraries “Icon” competition Isla O 8D and Abigail B in 8V and the Lanyard Challenge was won by Thisanan P in 9O.
Congratulations too to the winners of the World Book Day Quiz – Mr Haycock’s Form, 12A
