Thanks to Ms. Seneviratne for taking our Year 11 students to Aylesbury Mosque for a Religious Studies educational visit earlier this week.

The visit covered key topics including the Five Pillars of Islam and the importance of this to all Muslims. Students then had the opportunity to ask questions, which were warmly received by both the Imam and the chairperson.

They went above and beyond to enhance the visit by talking students through the external features of the mosque, explaining its importance to the Muslim community and its historical significance. Students really enjoyed the visit, especially as some had never visited a mosque before, making it a valuable and memorable experience. We are so grateful to them for hosting us. Experiences like these really help bring the curriculum to life.
