And just like that, our new Year 7 students have completed their first week at The Grange School. They have been absolutely brilliant! It has been an absolute pleasure being out with them every lunchtime this week, popping into lessons and watching them settle into school life.
We thought it might be useful to have some FAQ’s which have come through from parents and carers this week:
Satchel Log In’s – All children will need to have their first two ICT lessons before they can access Satchel. This will take approximately 3 weeks to complete the whole year group. Nothing will be posted for the children on Satchel until they are all able to log on. Parent and carers log in’s are currently being processed by our admin team and will be with you very soon.
School Gateway – All parents and carers can now log into the app. You may have seen a delay between ‘uploading’ money and it appearing on the app. This is not unusual but it should not take too long. We have attached a how to guide below if you still need to sign up. If you are experiencing any problems, please email Mrs Travers at [email protected] and she will be happy to help. Please note as you were not set up on School Gateway prior to us informing you of the forthcoming Willen Lake trip, any remaining payments will need to be processed using the ‘Parental Instructions for Paying For Willen Lake’ details below.
Using the Canteen – All Year 7’s who have had permission given will have their fingerprints scanned by our canteen staff next Tuesday 12 September 2023. They can then use this to pay for their food/drink.
Willen Lake 2023 – Thank you to the 75% of our parents/carers who have signed up their child to attend Willen Lake for which the letter is detailed below. Unfortunately, we have had 32 unidentified payments made. If you think you have paid for your child to attend but did not put your child’s details onto the payment, please contact Mrs Travers on [email protected] with the approximate date and time you paid and/or with your payment reference number so we can allocate them accordingly. If you would like your child to to attend this trip but have not yet paid, please follow the instructions on the attachment below
