On Tuesday 17 March, our phenomenal Under 13 girls’ football team under the watchful eye of Mrs Bradley, stepped onto the pitch for the County Cup Final and what a performance they delivered. It was a cagey first half, 0-0 at the whistle, with both sides battling for every inch of turf.
But just five minutes into the second half, Wycombe High School found the breakthrough. Lesser teams would have dropped their heads… not ours.
Our girls rallied, pressed, created chances, and showed teamwork that would make any club proud. Wave after wave of determination surged forward but football can be cruel and a late second goal sealed the 2-0 result.
Be proud girls! Reaching the final is an incredible achievement.
We’ve learnt.
We’ve grown.
And we will come back stronger.
Because that’s who we are.
