The Government’s Household Support Fund came to an end on 31 March 2026. It has now been replaced by the new Crisis and Resilience Fund (CRF), which is designed to provide targeted help for families facing sudden financial difficulties.
As part of this national change, families eligible for free school meals will no longer receive food vouchers during school holidays. To give families time to adjust, Buckinghamshire Council will keep current arrangements in place until after the May half‑term holiday.
Eligible families can still access the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, which offers free activities and healthy meals during school breaks. Families who are not eligible for HAF are encouraged to make use of local community support, including kids‑eat‑free offers and community cafés.
Further information about support available locally can be found on the Buckinghamshire Council website.
