Students interested in healthcare careers are invited to attend a series of free NHS careers talks. These engaging evening sessions provide an opportunity to learn about a wide range of NHS professions, meet healthcare professionals, explore different career pathways and gain valuable advice for future education and career choices.
Open to students in Years 7-13, the talks cover areas including Allied Health Professions, Pharmacy, Biomedical Science, Nursing and Midwifery, Psychology, and Medicine. Family members are welcome to attend, making these events a great way to explore future opportunities together.
The sessions will take place at Stoke Mandeville Hospital, Aylesbury, from 5pm to 7pm on selected dates throughout the 2026-27 academic year. Please see the attached poster for full details, dates and booking information.
Are you a student specifically interested in a career in psychology? The Clinical Psychology team at Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust are also hosting virtual career drop-in sessions for students in Years 11–13.
These friendly, informal sessions offer a great opportunity for students to meet the team and get their questions answered.
2026–27 session dates:
Autumn: Wednesday 18 November, 4.30pm to 5.30pm
Spring: Wednesday 24 February, 4.30pm to 5.30pm
Summer: Wednesday 26 May, 4.30pm to 5.30pm
Students should send an email to [email protected] saying which date they want to attend, and they’ll be sent an MS Teams invitation. To get the most out of these interactive sessions, students are encouraged to turn their cameras on and bring plenty of questions!
