Last week, we were delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Duke of Edinburgh Bronze Award recipients at a special presentation evening attended by students, their families and staff. Awards were presented by Headteacher Mr Murray, Deputy Headteacher Miss Brown and Mr Dharsey, who leads the Duke of Edinburgh programme at The Grange School.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award encourages young people to challenge themselves, develop new skills, volunteer within their communities, take part in physical activities and complete an expedition. Achieving the Bronze Award requires commitment, resilience and determination, and we are incredibly proud of every student who has reached this milestone.
Congratulations to our Bronze Award recipients: Ahmed A, Charlie B, Sonnii-Rai B, Rhein B, Holly B, Ellie B, Kristin B, Chloe C, Khloe C, Maria C, Kha’Mia C, Sienna C-S, Islay C, Neve C, Aleaha C, Hunor C, Sarah D, Lily F, Isabelle H, Aubrey H, Sonia J, Delna J, A’Diyah K, Veda K, Urvashi L, Enver M, Neha M, Olivia M, Priya P, Smit P, Madhulika R, Michal R, Danny S, Lyla S, Oscar T, Ben T, Isabella W, Mia W, Freya W P and Mia Z. Your hard work, perseverance and dedication have paid off, and you should all be incredibly proud of this achievement. Thank you to Friends of the Grange School – Aylesbury for supporting this event with delicious refreshments! We’re very grateful to you!
We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the staff volunteers who give up their time to support the Duke of Edinburgh programme. Without their dedication, encouragement and commitment, opportunities such as these would not be possible!
Exciting news! We will be launching the Duke of Edinburgh Award programme for our current Year 9 students after the half-term break. More information will be shared soon, so watch this space and keep an eye on our weekly Parent and Carer Bulletin, which contains all the latest news, updates and opportunities.
