Families can now enjoy our latest instalment of Family Enrichment Activities, part of a new initiative this academic year designed to support parents and carers in helping children learn beyond the classroom. This week, we’re excited to share our Maths edition packed with fun, practical and completely optional activities that help bring mathematical learning to life at home.
The poster highlights a range of engaging ideas from baking together, where children can practise measuring, ratios and scaling ingredients, to maths‑focused day trips such as Bletchley Park or the Science Museum’s Maths Gallery. Families can also explore card games that build strategy and probability skills, or try currency conversion challenges to link maths to real‑world holiday planning.
As always, we would absolutely love to see what you do and create. Please send any fantastic examples or photos of what you get up to, to Miss Glenister at [email protected]. There are prizes for the most creative entries and selected work may be shared on our social media platforms, weekly bulletin and school website.
We hope these activities spark curiosity, confidence and plenty of family fun!
