Our students and amazing teaching team have been working incredibly hard to get our school production of Footloose ready for the big night!
Every Wednesday and Thursday evening from 3.00pm until 5.00pm our entire cast have been staying after school to get stuck into rehearsals. It’s been an absolute pleasure to see all of our year groups; from Year 7 right through to Year 13 represented and to witness the new friendships that have blossomed as a result.
We are having so much fun as one big ‘drama’ family! Myself and Mrs Kirk have so enjoyed getting to know students that we don’t normally teach, and much more than that, seeing the ones that we do in a completely differently light. The very best days of my school life were the school productions I was involved with and as such it’s an absolute pleasure to be part of this experience at The Grange School. The power of extra curricular activities and it’s subsequent enrichment on us as a whole school community is clear to see. The process is as valuable as the end product; if not more so for everything we have learnt and experienced on the journey so far!
A special shout-out must also go to all of our Parents and Carers! The late after school pick-ups have given us invaluable time to help perfect the production and we are so very grateful for your continued support.
Please look out for a further article including a list of our incredibly talented cast in the forthcoming edition of The Grange Gazette.
Please do save the dates in your diary for Thursday 13 February and Friday 14 February 2025. It’s most definitely going to be a show not to be missed!
Mrs Gordon
