Today, on Thursday 1 October we celebrate National Poetry Day! This year’s theme is WONDER. A chance to look at the everyday in a new way and discover the poetry in the people, places and moments around us.
To help mark the occasion, we’re running our very own POETRY COMPETITION!
All you need to do is write a ONE-VERSE poem inspired by Wonder and bring it to the library by 10th October 2026.
🏆 There’s a sweet treat for the winner! 🍬
So get creative, let your imagination run wild and show us what makes YOU wonder!
