A new service for our students was launched this term by the School Nursing team, part of Buckinghamshire Healthcare called Health for Teens.

The new service has a website full of advice around health issues – both physical and mental health are addressed through the service as well as information on growing up, relationships and lifestyle choices.

The service also offers a text service for children to ask questions and seek guidance. This will be available Monday – Friday 9-4pm and run by a school nurse who can offer text message support and guide students as needed. To use the messaging service students can text 07312 263295 or visit the website.

The team came into school to launch the service with students and spent time talking through the service with the students earlier this month. It was also promoted in assemblies and form time.

We hope that this service will be of use to our students and details will be placed on our school website in the getting more help section and promoted across the school along with our other support services.

The attached letter provides further details about both of these innovative projects as well as a similar project for Primary School aged children which will be helpful for siblings.
