During Key Stage 3 assemblies last week, Mr Netley spoke with Years 7, 8 and 9 about allergy awareness.

Mr Netley introduced his 7-year old son Jack, who suffers with life-threatening allergies. Jack gave us an insight as to what it is like living with severe allergies.

Mr Netley was able to share signs to look out for of an allergic reaction, how to be mindful of those around us with severe allergies as well as demonstrated the use of an epipen – which Year 7 and Year 8 students came back at break time to try it out for themselves!

Please avoid bringing in foods containing nuts to school in order to keep our staff and students safe in our school community.

Check out some of our snaps – Zak 7I trying out the practice epipen and Year 7 demonstrating their learning in assembly with a show of hands.

Thank you to Mr Netley….and Jack!
