As part of a new initiative implemented by Mrs Harkin, Subject Leader for Art, we have now established a series of creative after school Masterclasses which are kindly being run by staff.
Volunteers from a range of departments are sharing their specialist art and design skills to give students more of a cultural understanding of the subject.
At the same time we are also demonstrating that whilst we can all be a specialist in a certain area, we often have lots of different skills, strengths, passions and talents.
The first session took place last night with Mrs Kirk, Subject Leader for Music inspiring students with her knitting!
The event was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone that took part and we produced some really wonderful and creative final pieces.
Please do watch this space for our next masterclass coming soon! We’ll be sure to follow up with a further, more in depth article in our next edition of The Grange Gazette.
