Year 9 Enterprise lessons have been super busy and exciting over the last few weeks with students working hard in their teams on the Make Your Mark With a Tenner Challenge!

The project involves students creating a business idea and pitching their idea to their class teacher and classmates. Successful groups will then be given a £10 start up investment after the May half term.

Students will use this start-up capital to make as much money as possible within the school setting before the summer break.

Prizes will be awarded for;

  • The group which manages to make the most money from their £10
  • The group with the most innovative idea
  • The most sustainable business idea

Today we had the pleasure of popping into an Enterprise lesson to see the creativity in action. We watched a presentation from two aspiring chefs in 9D looking to make and sell their homemade cakes and chatted to a group of 4 enterprising young ladies who are busy setting up their business to sell the super cute pictured handmade ‘C Bears’ to raise money for charity. What a lovely idea!

Well done everyone, we can’t wait to see your ideas develop further and to see the finalised products ready to be sold!
