Next week in school (9-13 February) we will be celebrating National Apprenticeship Week and we have lots of exciting activities planned across the school to highlight this important opportunity for our students.
During Form Time sessions, students will take part in an insightful presentation designed to give them useful information about what apprenticeships are, how they work, and the wide range of pathways available. As part of this focus, we are also running an Apprenticeship Logo Competition to help raise the profile of the different organisations that offer apprenticeships. Each year group will have a winner, with a prize awarded to each!
We have switched up DEAR Time! Instead students will watch a series of short films from Amazing Apprenticeships. These films aim to raise awareness and improve understanding of apprenticeships in an engaging and accessible way.
Students will also notice new Apprenticeship Displays around the school. These subject-specific posters highlight how apprenticeships link to different curriculum areas. A big thank you to our Sixth Form students for helping to put these up.
To support parents and carers in understanding apprenticeships, Amazing Apprenticeships are also hosting an online webinar on Monday 9 February from 6:30pm–7:30pm.

National Apprenticeship Week is a great chance for students to learn more about their future options, and we’re looking forward to a week full of learning and inspiration!
