To celebrate National Poetry Day, our amazing Library and Learning Resource Centre team invited students to create poems inspired by this year’s theme, Wonder.

We were delighted by the creativity, imagination and thoughtfulness shown in every entry. The standard was incredibly high, making the judging process a difficult one!

🏆 Winner: Miracle (7C) – The Things We Almost Miss
🥈 Runners-Up: Santino (7V) – Little Things and Elsie (7V) – The Wonder of the Shelf
⭐ Special Mention: Aniya (9C) – The Wonders of ADHD
👏 Recognition was also given to all of 7V for their fantastic participation and contribution to the competition.

Prize winners were presented with their awards during year group assemblies this week, and we’re proud to showcase the winning and highly commended poems. Swipe through to enjoy our students’ fantastic work and see how they interpreted the theme of Wonder.

A huge congratulations to everyone who took part, and thank you to our wonderful Library and Learning Resource Centre team for organising another inspiring celebration of creativity, literacy and student voice.
