We were proud to host the Rotary Club Technology Tournament, welcoming 27 teams from 5 local schools across Key Stage 3, 4 and 5

The challenge – To design and build a vehicle capable of clearing a gutter of debris using only a set pack of materials including dowel, pulleys, a battery, elastic bands, a motor, wheels and cogs.

KS3 teams: vehicle had to clear the gutter

KS4 and 5 teams: vehicle had to clear the gutter and stop and reverse

Our students rose to the challenge with creativity, teamwork, problem‑solving and a brilliant ‘we can’ attitude. Every team impressed with their ideas and determination.

🏆 A huge congratulations to our Key Stage 4 team Thisanan, Dillon, Theo and Nelith who secured FIRST PLACE! Amazing job, boys.

A massive thank you to Miss Challis and Mrs Summers for organising such a fantastic event. We were honoured to host, and incredibly proud of our student skippers, who supported the day so professionally that Rotary Club staff commented on how fantastic they were.

Well done to all teams, you made us proud.
