The Science Department is encouraging all students in Years 7-11 to make the most of Sparx Science, an interactive online learning platform that supports and reinforces classroom learning through regular independent study.
Each week, students are set homework on Sparx Science, providing opportunities to revisit key concepts, practise their scientific knowledge and strengthen their understanding of topics covered in lessons. The platform offers tailored questions and immediate feedback, helping students build confidence whilst developing effective study habits.
To help students stay organised, homework is set on the following days:
- Year 7 – Monday
- Year 8 – Tuesday
- Year 9 – Wednesday
- Year 10 – Thursday
- Year 11 – Friday
We are sharing this information with parents and carers to help support students in completing their weekly homework and engaging regularly with this valuable resource. Consistent use of Sparx Science can make a significant difference to students’ understanding, retention of key knowledge and overall progress in science.
