The Rotary Young Chef Competition is organised and promoted by Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland (Rotary GB&I). There are four stages to the competition, each designed to support and encourage the development of young people’s culinary skills and confidence.
The competition aims to encourage young aged 11-17 years old people to:
● Learn how to cook a healthy meal
● Develop food presentation skills
● Consider food hygiene issues
● Develop organisational and planning skills
● Develop an ability to cope in a demanding situation
Shoaib in Year 8’s, Two Course Menu was successfully short listed and as a result he was invited to cook his menu live in the local cook-off heat where he cooked for the Head Chef of Hartwell House! The finished food, in addition to the table setting were judged. While there, Shoaib met the President of the Rotary Club and The Mayor of Aylesbury! Fantastic job Shoaib!
