Last week, our Year 9 students were exploring the beliefs and practices of Buddhism in their recent Religious Studies lessons. As part of this learning, they created beautiful Wesak lanterns inspired by the Buddhist festival of Wesak, where lanterns are traditionally made and displayed as symbols of enlightenment.
Students showed great creativity and enthusiasm throughout the activity and really enjoyed designing and making their lanterns. It was fantastic to see their engagement as they connected their learning about Buddhist traditions with a hands-on task.
