On Tuesday 1 July and Wednesday 2 July we warmly welcomed Year 6 pupils into school for their transition days.
On Tuesday, we kicked things off with an assembly with Miss Glenister who introduced key staff and outlined the exciting plans for the day. Our awesome team of Form Tutors and Student Buddies then took the students through some fun activities including ‘Human Bingo’, ‘My Cuppa Tea’ and our ‘All About Me’ booklet. Everyone had a tour of the school to help them get their bearings ahead of September and we finished the day on a real high with our Fit and Funky!
Wednesday in school saw Year 6 pupils get a taster of subjects from across the school. Our soon to be Year 7’s experienced a range of lessons including Maths, History, Drama, English, Enterprise, Design Technology and PE.
Thank you to all of our staff who have helped make the events such a success and to our amazing Student Buddies who are an absolute credit to our school and have really helped our new students to feel happy and settled 😊
It’s been an action packed and super enjoyable two days for us all. We can’t wait for our newbies to officially join The Grange School family in September!
