To start May off competitively, the U13 girls handball team headed down to Bournemouth to compete in the regional Handball competition. They earned their place here  after winning the district competition.

It was an early start in our new school mini bus with a lot of traffic on the way down. However the girls arrived and got straight into their first game with a 12-4 win.

They played extremely well through the group stages taking on all advice and tactical instructions. They finished 2nd in the group and went through to the semi finals.

With what was a very close game they unfortunately lost in the semi finals, so played their last game in the 3rd/4th play offs.

In their last game they had a close 4minutes before they then dominated the rest of the match winning 13-4.

The girls worked extremely hard and deserved taking home their bronze medals. They all feeling really proud of themselves and each other for working together and achieving 3rd.

A big shout out too to parent and coach Mrs Z for not only coaching the girls but for coming with us on the trip and delivering some fabulous team tactics! We’re very grateful for your time and expertise.

The team consisted of: Jessica A, Jessica C, Rosie J, Abbey R, Kendal B, Megan F, Mia Z, Islay C, Daisy H, Brooke G, Elisha, G. Great job girls!
