There are lots of exciting activities planned for World Book Day this year!
Whole School Reading Activity – We will be reading a short story titled ‘The Landlady’ by Roald Dahl throughout the course of the school day.
World Book Day Quiz – Form Tutors will be share a World Book Day Quiz with their tutees. The winning form group will receive a box of chocolates!
Book Tokens – These will be uploaded on Satchel for students to access.
Guess the Book Character – Students will be partaking in a ‘Guess the book character’ competition in which they will be given a list of participating staff members’ names and questions about the character they are dressed up as. The student with the most correct answers will win a prize.
Library Activities – There will be drop-in sessions during break and lunch on the day where students can:
- Create a comic storyboard
- Guess the books on the wall
- Play scrabble and other word games.
- Take part in book related word searches, crosswords and anagrams
- Enter the guess the wall art book competition.
