What a fantastic day welcoming our future Year 7 students to The Grange for our annual Transition Games!

Pupils from Bedgrove Junior School, Turnfurlong Junior School, and William Harding Combined School joined us for a day packed with fun, teamwork and friendly competition. Activities included:

🏉 Tag Rugby
🥏 Vortex & Disc Golf
🤝 Team Building Challenges
🏀 Benchball
🎾 Football Tennis
🤾 Handball
🏃 Tag Games
🚩 Capture the Flag
⚾ Crazy Rounders

Transition events like these are so important in helping our soon to be new students build confidence, make new friends, get to know our school and staff, and feel excited about starting secondary school in September.

A huge thank you goes to our incredible Year 9, Year 10 and Year 12 Sports Leaders, who worked tirelessly to set up, organise and run each activity. Their enthusiasm, leadership and encouragement ensured everyone had a brilliant day.

We’d also like to recognise our fantastic Year 7 buddies, who led their groups throughout the day, helping our Year 6 visitors feel welcome and supported while joining in with all the activities.

A special shout out goes to Freddie L (Year 12), who once again demonstrated outstanding leadership. Having worked so well with our Year 8 football team over the past two years, Freddie was selected to help manage this year’s event. Alongside Mr Olde and Mr Pascoe, he played a key role in ensuring everything ran smoothly, solving any unexpected issues and helping deliver a memorable experience for everyone involved.

We are incredibly proud of the teamwork, leadership and community spirit shown by both our students and staff. What a brilliant team we have here at The Grange!

We can’t wait to build on this success and make next year’s Transition Games even bigger and better!
