And now they are off on their own!!

Our Year 7 students have now completed their first fortnight at The Grange School and should be getting used to their timetables, new teachers and their new classrooms. The Year 10 buddies have been dropping them off and picking them up from their lessons and breaks over the last fortnight but now they will be flying solo!

They have made a really positive start to their new school and have hit the ground running. It has been a pleasure to see them so happy and looking so impeccably smart!! We can’t wait to see what they bring over the next few weeks.

Some updates and further FAQ’s from this week:

Willen Lake 2023

Thank you to all parents/carers who have signed up their child to attend Willen Lake

This is a highly valued day out based on previous student voice and therefore would like ALL students to attend. If you have any questions or issues in relation to this trip, please do contact us at [email protected]

The letter and instructions for payment can be found on our transition page.

Satchel Log In’s

Parent/Carer log in details have now all been issued. These were sent home via the children earlier this week in envelopes. There is a dedicated page for parents on Satchel One on our website.

All children will need to have their first 2-3 ICT lessons before they can access Satchel. We have one more week until we aim for all the children to have their details and to be shown how to Satchel One in their ICT lessons. Nothing will be posted for the children on Satchel until they are all able to log on.

School Gateway

All parents and carers can now log into the app. Please find instructions of how to download the app on our website. If you are experiencing any problems, please email Mrs Travers at [email protected] and she will be happy to help.

Weekly Parent/Carer Communication

We communicate weekly with our parents/carers through our weekly parent/carer bulletin which is sent by email every Friday and posted on our website. Please make sure you have a look at this each week. The bulletin contains links to letters that are specific to your child’s year group. Any urgent communication or information that just relates to your child specifically will be sent directly to your email address.

Extra-Curricular Clubs

All of our clubs for the Autumn Term can now be found on our website. Our clubs are all free of charge and students are welcome to attend any time. They are already up and running. If they have any questions around the clubs, they should speak with their class teacher or form tutor.

We really look forward to welcoming all of students back for their third week.

If you have any further questions, please do let us know via the transition email [email protected]

Enjoy your weekend.
