Back in September, Miss Glenister met with 18 of our new Year 8 Skippers to discuss the skills required for the year ahead as well as opportunity to discuss what they plan to bring to their leadership roles
When asked what impact they can have on their school community, they said:
“I am here to help share student views and make the school better for everyone” Rahni G
“To make students feel happy and welcome at school and make them feel included” Isla J
“To be a good role model” Sophia M
“To help improve learning for students and teachers” Alfie C
“To put others first and to help in whatever way possible” James T
In total, we have 50 student Skippers across Years 8, 9 and 10. They have all been introduced to the peers in assembly and are now officially in role and already completed their first assignment – touring members of the public at this year’s open evenings.
Thank You Skippers – let’s bring on a new year of opportunities for change.
