We’re looking forward to bringing our Young Carers together for some Halloween-themed arts and crafts!
We now have 72 Young Carers identified across our school, and creating opportunities like this is really important. It gives our Young Carers the chance to meet others who share similar experiences, build friendships, have fun and take some time for themselves.
In partnership with Carers Bucks, we are working to raise awareness of Young Carers within our school community, identify students who may benefit from additional support, and ensure they feel understood and valued.
We currently run two half-termly Young Carers groups, led by school staff with ongoing support from Carers Bucks. These groups provide a relaxed and welcoming space within school where students can meet others in similar situations, take part in enjoyable activities, and access emotional and practical support.
Our Halloween sessions will be run by Miss Buckingham and Miss McCormack:
Years 7 & 8: Tuesday 13 October, 11:15am–12:25pm
Years 9–11: Tuesday 20 October, 11:15am–12:25pm
We’re also keen to make sure that any young person who may be caring for someone at home is identified and supported. Please see our recent letter home for further information.
If you feel your child may be a Young Carer, please email:

We look forward to seeing our Young Carers getting creative, making new connections and enjoying some well-deserved time for themselves!
